The residents of Hattiesburg are in for a spooktacular time if they dare go to Zoo Boo at The Hattiesburg Zoo. Three days from now, the gates will open and spirits will soar as you make your way around the zoo—like you’ve never seen it before!

With decorations to impress the toughest critics—from jaguars to sloths to howler monkeys—Zoo Boo at The Hattiesburg Zoo kicks off the scary good times Friday, Oct. 23. The good times continue to roll through Friday, Oct. 30., from 5:30-8:30 p.m. each night.

If you are bold enough to come to 107 S. 17th Street for Zoo Boo at The Hattiesburg Zoo, be sure to dress up for an evening meant to delight and make boo-ti-ful memories with family and friends!

What to Expect

As Hattiesburg Zoo’s black jaguar Maya keeps a watchful eye on the activity, some “meowagical” moments can begin with a trip into the spooky experience brewing at lemur boardwalk, The Fun House. For the more adventurous sort, Zoorassic Park is back—bigger and better than ever!

Other “merry-not-too-scary fun” can be had by all with Jeepers Creepers Keepers Animal Encounters; rides on the Spooky Express and the “Carou-Spell;” conquer the Tower of Terror; and dance your fears away at the Monster Mash Dance Party!

Take in delightful animal shows or take a walk through Wicked Wallaby Walkabout. Don’t miss your chance to dig up ghoul prizes at the Mining Expedition, play ghastly games and much more at this year’s Zoo Boo at The Hattiesburg Zoo.

Last Minute Reminders

Zoo Boo is not a trick or treating event, but there is still loads of fun to be had! And you will receive a special treat on the way out. There are a limited number of tickets available each night to ensure proper social distancing, so purchasing tickets in advance is advised. Friendly reminder, for this event, annual passes do not apply.

Tickets may be purchased by clicking here or at or at the gate. Please have a mask with you when visiting the zoo in case you cannot keep a safe distance from other guests and staff.
